I do a lot of different kinds of jobs as a freelance artist. Because Iโ€™m lucky, often those jobs are tiny and cute. Hereโ€™s a video of me pouring a mold for the talented @tinydoorsatl. I canโ€™t wait to see the final reveal! ๐ŸŒค๐ŸŒฅ

Prepping a mold for Tiny Doors ATL

After applying a release spray, I dust the mold with talc and use my empty airbrush to blow away the excess powder.ย  The talc helps to keep bubbles from forming on the surface of the cast.ย  Find out more about what my friends at Tiny Doors ATL have in store for this and other projects at http://tinydoorsatl.com/.

I recently got to help out the Tiny Doors ATL folks reinvent their process with a little mold making magic. Door #2 was vandalized, but thanks to the donations and support of the community, it’s back up and sparklier than ever! Great job tiny crew! I’m looking forward to helping them with more tiny cuteness in the future :). You can learn about the project and see more big wonder in tiny spaces at tinydoorsatl.com.

A new project is underway! I recently had the pleasure of meeting the Tiny Doors ATL folks and seeing the cool stuff they’re doing–namely, creating tiny adorable installations all over the city.ย  They’ve enlisted my help in casting their door designs in tougher materials to extend their life in the world.ย  Here’s a video of me pouring the molds.ย  Looking forward to seeing the finished installation! http://www.tinydoorsatl.com/
