Just a few finishing touches before this one’s ready for varnish.
At the Center for Puppetry Arts
After I finish the details, I’ll add a holographic sparkle coat and high gloss varnish to make the colors really pop. It’s all about creating depth through layering.
Current set up for cloudy day painting 🖌️ In the background: resin casts of tree bark, big sun glasses, a tiny dinosaur, and a mannequin hand holding a heart model 🖐️
Painting silver/gold accents on this Stardust Dreamer. All those dreamy lumps and bumps. This step takes hours.
These pics are process shots of the sQuishiepuss collab from a few weeks ago. sQuishiepuss did the line drawing of the pug. I sculpted on top of it with an air whipped epoxy clay, layered the colors with acrylics, then varnished the brain to make it look wet.

First layer of oils on a wood burned panel. After it dries, I’ll start adding more dimension/ detail.
I used masking tape to block out the vanilla sides of the swirls to aid in airbrushing the chocolate and strawberry portions. After removing the masking, the next step is touching up over spray/ any areas I missed with the a brush.
Airbrushing with acrylic onto epoxy clay.
